Two kidnapped girls rescued, gang busted
Bangalore, Oct 28 (UNI) Police today rescued two girls and busted an organised gang which was involved in several cases of robbery and looting techies and realtors using girls in the city.
Talking to newspersons here, City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari said the modus operandi of the gang was to lure rich techies and realtors and loot them.
Police seized Rs three lakh worth valuables and lethal weapons from the six-member gang, including two women and rescued the two girls, allegedly kidnapped from Kalyani near Kolkata.
Mr Bidari said the victims, who were lured by the women members of the gang, were taken to isolated places and attacked by the gang with lethal weapons and their valuables were snatched.
The accused were identified as Parvathi, hailing from Kasnapur village, Kollani, Kolkata and Firoj, Sidique, Nafisabano, Md Nayaz, Suhel and Thanveer, all from Bangalore.
The rescued girls -- Deena (14) and Thumba (16) -- would be handed over to their parents, he added.
