Sabarionale roads work may not be completed in time

Pathanamthitta, Oct 28 (UNI) Kerala Devaswam Minister G Sudhakaran today expressed doubts over the completion of maintenance work of Sabarimala roads well before the commencement of the Mandalam-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season.

Repair works on roads began too late this time, he said.

Mr Sudhakaran came down strongly on the PWD officials, who justified the delay in work blaming the unseasonal rain.

He was addressing the Sabarimala review meeting held here today.

He asked the PWD officials to finish work on all subsidiary roads before the start of the Sabarimala pilgrimage season.

Co-ordinated efforts by all concerned were needed to ensure production and distribution of 'Aravana' and 'Appam' fool-proof, he added.
