Police warn people against depositing money in website
Bangalore, Oct 28 (UNI)City police today warned people against depositing money in a company operating with a website www.citylimouzines.com.
Talking to newspersons here, City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari said an investigation had revealed that the website, which was offering an interest of Rs 7,700 per month against deposit of Rs One lakh, was fake and percentage of interest was not mentioned under any scheme of the company 'City Money Limited'.
Moreover, from Reserve Bank of India(RBI) it was learnt that it was not a registered Non-Banking Finance Company(NBFC), he added.
Mr Bidari said ''I do not want public to fall prey to such companies, which are not trustworthy and the website www.citylimouzines.com may in due course, turn out to be another 'Vini Vink' or 'Darshanika' or 'Questnet', operation resulting in cheating of hundreds of crores of rupees to the members of the public.'' Mr Bidari said the Director General of Police(DGP), Ajay Kumar Singh was urged to order COD to make detailed check of the operations conduced by the company to ensure that the operations were in accordance with the guidelines of the RBI and to prevent any financial disaster in future.
