JD(U) blames Maharashtra police for killing Bihar youth

Bangalore, Oct 28(UNI) Janata Dal(United) Karnataka unit today condemned the Maharashtra police for killing the youth, hailing from Bihar, instead of arresting him in yesterday's shoot-out case.

In a press release here, State JD(U) General Secretary G K C Reddy alleged that the shoot-out was the result of Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray's outburst against Non-Maharashtrians living in Mumbai.

Alleging that Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh had failed to contain MNS's hooliganism and their violance, Mr Reddy charged that the Government was creating an atmosphere which was allowing emergence of another ' Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale' in the country.

Alleging that the Congress Government in Maharashtra was grooming Raj Thackeray indirectly to counter the growth of Shiv Sena, keeping in mind the coming Lok Sabha elections, Mr Reddy charged that the Congress was soft towards MNS leader, despite his continued ourburst against film actor Amitabh Bacchan and his family and North Indians living in Mumbai.
