Groundnut, its oil improve in Muharat trading

Mumbai, Oct 28 (UNI) The prices of groundnutseed and its oil slightly improved in the Muharat trading on the occasion of Vikram Samvat 2065 today on improved demand, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oil seeds (per quintal), groundnut rose by Re one while kardiseed exp by Rs 15 per quintal respectively on sustained demand by bulk consumers.

Nigerseed also advanced by Rs 6 per quintal on better buying support by bulk consumers.

In oils (per ten kg), groundnut oil and sunflower exp slightly improved by 25 paise each on fresh demand by local dealers.

However, RBD palm oil fell by Rs 6.75 per 10 kg following sustained heavy selling pressure from stockists.

In de-oiled cakes, soyameal 48 per cent shot up by Rs 165 per metric tonne, on speculative demand by bulk cosnumers, traders added.
