Ticket seekers damage property at Congress HQ

Jaipur, Oct 27 (UNI) Unruly scenes were witnessed again at the Congress state headquarters here today when party activists demanding ticket for local leader Baba Riyazuddin damaged property at the party office.

The protesters, reacting over prospective candidature of sitting MLA Mahir Azad from Adarshnagar constituency here for upcoming assembly polls, raised slogans against Mr Azad, smashed glass gates and damaged other property.

Mr Azad, a sitting MLA from Nagar(Bharatpur), is seeking change of constituency whereas party workers here supporting the candidature of Riyazuddin, a sitting member of Jaipur Municipal Corporation.

The corporator's supporters had also held demonstration at the party headquarters two days ago to press their demand.
