Spirit worth Rs 5 lakh recovered in Motipur

Samastipur, Oct 27: Police on Monday, Oct 27 recovered spirit worth Rs five lakh at Motipur village under Musari-Gharari police station area in the district.

Police said acting on a tip-off, a raid was conducted at a hideout in the village leading to recovery of 5.5 thousand litre illicit spirit containing in 19 separate drums.

The seized spirit was to be smuggled to different places in Muzaffarpur and Vaishali districts, police said adding those arrested were being interrogated.

Raids were being conducted to arrest those who managed to escape from the spot during the search operation, police added.
