Speaker rejects A Narendra's disqualification petititon

New Delhi, Oct 27 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee has rejected the disqualification petition against A Narendra (TRS) under 10th schedule of the Constitution, according to Lok Sabha Secretariat sources.

Mr Narendra had voted in favour of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government during the confidence vote by the ruling coalition after the Left parties withdrew support to the UPA.

The TRS has sought his disqualification on the grounds of violating party whip at the time of voting during the confidence motion on July 22.
