President greets the country on Diwali

New Delhi, Oct 27: President Pratibha Devisingh Patil has conveyed her warm greetings to the nation on the joyous occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights.

In her message to the people, she sought the blessings of the God for bringing peace, prosperity and communal harmony in the country and remove ignorance and light the lamp of knowledge. ''Diwali, the festival of light, signifies triumph of the righteousness and victory of good over the evil within every human being,'' the President said.
