Panthers announce 30 candidates including woman for J
Jammu, Oct 27 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today announced the names of 30 candidates including a woman from Jammu province for the coming state Assembly elections scheduled from November 17 to December 24.
''Thirty candidates have been cleared by the Parliamentary Board of the party and the working committee has also decided to continue with the sitting MLAs from their respective constituencies including Mr Harsh Dev Singh from Ramnagar, Mr Faqir Nath from Chenani, Mr Yashpal Kundal from Samba and Mr Balwant Singh Makotia from Udhampur,'' Prof Bhim Singh, chairman JKNPP told reporters at a press conference here.
However, the finalised candidates from Jammu rural included Rajesh Padgotra from Vijaypur, Romesh Khajuria from Bishnah, Dr Karan Bhagat from R S Pura, Ashok Randawa from Suchethgarh and Ghulam Ali Engineer from Nagrota constituency.
''Diwakar Bhagat will be the candidate from Raipur-Domana, Anita Thakur from Marh block, Raman Kumar Mishra from Akhnoor and Ashok Kumar from Khour,'' Prof Singh revealed adding that in Reasi district, Sardari Lal Dubey will contest for the party while Pushpinder Singh from Gulabgarh-Mahore and G M Shan from Gool-Arnas constituencies.
Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar has been finalised from Hiranagar, Ravinder Pathania from Kathua, Rakesh Singh from Bani, Darshan Sharma from Basholi and H C Jalmeria from Billawar constituencies of Kathua district.
''Gajay Singh will be the candidate from Doda, Bharat Bhushan Kotwal from Bhaderwah while Imtyaz Ahmed from Inderwal constituency and Neelam Mahajan will fight from Kisthwar for JKNPP,'' the JKNPP chairman added.
Other candidates were Neelam Kumar, Saleem Raja from Ramban and Banihal constituencies respectively while Tabasum Chouhdary from Poonch, Jameel Ahmed Shah from Surankote and Tariq Hameed Khan from Mendhar.
Rajesh Sharma from Rajouri, Mohd Farooq Inqlabi from Darhal Budhal and Shamsher Singh Chib from Nowshera have been given the candidature.
The names of the candidates from Jammu urban will be disclosed on November 1.
