Malegaon blast accused have exposed Saffron parties: IUML
Mumbai, Oct 27 (UNI) The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) today said the recent arrests of a Sadhvi and two other right-wing activists have exposed the saffron parties and demanded that there should be a CBI probe into all blasts in the last five years.
The IUML also demanded ban on the BJP, Sangh Parivar and its outfits in the wake of the recent arrests.
The arrests show that there was a larger conspiracy by saffron elements, Amin Solkar, president of Mumbai unit of the IUML, told reporters.
IUML secretary Abdul Rehman said in the Malegaon blast case of September 29, the accused should be booked under MCOCA.
Mr Rehman said the case of earlier blasts in Malegaon, that took place two years ago, and which is currently with the CBI, must be reopened and the accused who were arrested earlier, must be set free.
''We feel that the saffron elements were involved in these blasts as well and the present set of accused must be interrogated to know more about those blasts,'' Mr Solkar said.
''The present arrests are an eyewash. It is just the tip of the iceberg of the entire conspiracy,'' they said and demanded that the real accused behind these blasts be brought to book and punished.
