Khanduri greets people on Diwali

Dehra Dun, Oct 27 (UNI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri has greeted the people on the occasion of Diwali.

Gen Khanduri, in his message, said the ''festival removed the darkness of ignorance and illiteracy by lighting the lamp of knowledge and education'' and wished for the well-being of the people.

The Chief Minister said the festival was a joyous occasion which was celebrated across the country with brotherhood and friendship and urged the people to adopt adequate safety measures while celebrating the festival of lights.
