BSE Sensex ends at 8,520.58 points
Mumbai, Oct 27: Bombay Stock Exchange's bench mark index, Sensex on Monday, Oct 27 bounced from intra-day low of 7,697.39 to end at 8,520.58. Major recovery was seen in the real estate stocks while auto and FMCG ended as major lossed.
Nifty, the National Stock Exchange's index ended at 2532.4, down 51.60 points or 2 per cent. The index touched an intra-day low of 2,252.75. BSE Midcap Index ended 3.70 per cent down and BSE Smallcap Index fell 4.53 per cent. Major gainers of Sensex were Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance Communications and Sterlite Industries. Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Grasim Industries and Tata Power were major losers.
Asian markets continued to plummet as a result of the current global financial crisis.
