Dumka, Oct 27 (UNI) Five undertrials escaped from a court jail in this district of Jharkhand today.
Police said the prisoners were brought from Dumka Central Jail to be produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate.
After they appeared before the CJM, they managed to escape despite the presence of adequate security personnel.
DSP B C Ram and Inspector D N Singh rushed to the court and were interrogating the policeemn on duty at that time.
An alert was sounded all over the state to foil their bid to cross over to the neighbouring states.
