5 top HM militants killed in encounter in JK

{image-Jammu+kashmir-map_27102008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Srinagar, Oct 27: In a major setback to the terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen(HM), five of its top militants were shot dead in an encounter with the Indian army in Kistwar district of Jammu Kashmir on Monday, Oct 27. The troops launched a search operation in Nawapachi area early this morning after a tip off.

Militants started firing against the army and the troops retaliated and in the fierce encounter which followed the five HM militants died. Army sources said that four AK rifles, arms and ammunition and explosives were recovered from the site.
