SOG, RR recover arms

Srinagar, Oct 26: Security forces recovered arms and ammunition from a house in Anantnag district of south Kashmir official sources said.

They said Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu Kashmir police and Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint operation at village Ahopaisan under Achabal police station in Anantnag district early this morning following a tip-off that militants had stored some arms and ammunition there.

After a long search of the house of one Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh, the security forces recovered two hand grenades and other arms and ammunition.

A case was registered against the house owner.
