Rainfall occurred at many places in the State

Bangalore, Oct 26 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today, Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka, at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Karkala recorded very heavy rainfall of 14 cm Sagar, T Narsipura 3 each, Mudibidre, Dharmasthala, Bandipura, MM Hills Chamarajanagar 2 each, Udupi, Haveri, Madikeri, Ponampet, Virajpet, Jayapura, Hallimysore, Arsikere, Chintamani 1 each.

Maximum temperatures rose at many places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were above normal many places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka however below normal at many places over South Interior Karnataka and normal over North Interior Karnataka. Karwar recorded highest maximum temperature of 36.1deg Celsius over the state.

Minimum temperatures fell at many places being markedly so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka and appreciably fell at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.

They were markedly below normal at most places over North Interior Karnataka and appreciably below normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.

Bijapur recorded Lowest minimum temperature of 12.5 deg. Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Decrease in rainfall over the State is expected over the State.
