Govt to implement 6th CPC soon: Pondy CM
Puducherry, Oct 26: The Puducherry administration would soon implement the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations for employees of local bodies, slum clearence board and all other boards and corporations coming under the Local Administration Department, Minister for Local Administration A Namasivayam said.
Talking to newpsersons here today, Mr Namasivayam said Government orders in this regard would be issued soon.
He said the administration would soon devolve powers to the elected local reprsentive bodies and the Chief Minister had given concent in this regard and it would be placed before a cabinet meeting to get it's approval.
Stating that new strategies were being adopted in the field of garbage cleaning jointly with the union government, he said steps were being taken to immediately provide three months salary to the women of self-help groups which were engaged in garbage cleaning.
Nine months salary to the SHGs are pending.
