Nano on Bihar roads by Jan: Tata
{image-Nano car_26102008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Samastipur, Oct 26: Nano, the Rs one lakh dream car of Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata, will be on Bihar roads in January next year as the company is all set to launch it here in the very first month of the coming year.
Tata Motors Regional Manager Amit Sinha here on Sunday, Oct 26 said the company would launch Nano in Bihar in January next year as it considered the state to be a fast emerging prospective car market. ''The booking for Nano car will begin in Bihar soon,'' he informed, adding that the company was aiming to further improve its share in the Bihar car market by providing better facilities to its customers. ''The Singur controversy has forced Tata Motors to shift its Nano car project to Gujarat,'' he said, adding that the common man had great expectations from Nano and the company would try its best to fulfill it under any circumstances.
Giving details about the market share of Tata Motors in the Bihar car market, Mr Sinha said the company sold around 3,500 to 4,000 cars annually, including the 'Safari' and 'Sumo'.
