Inquiry into alleged poll code violation at singer's programme

Rajgarh, MP, Oct 26 (UNI) An inquiry has been ordered by the district electoral officer into alleged violation of the model code of conduct during the programme of noted singer Ravindra Jain in Biora town in this district.

Superintendent of Police D K Arya said the Collector and the district electoral officer has asked police to find about exact situation.

A case has been registered against Matra Bhoomi Raksha Manch Chairman Jagdish Agrawal under the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Act, 1995, last night for violating poll code. No arrest had been made thus far.

A complaint was lodged by the district Congress Committee that publicity of a political party was done during a religious programme, which continued after 2200 hours against rules.
