IGNOU to hold conference on telecom sector in education development
New Delhi, Oct 26 (UNI) The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), in collaboration with the Communications and Manufacturing Association of India (CMAI), will hold a round-table conference on "Telecom Sector in Education Development" here on November 4.
The conference is aimed at harnessing potentials of new communication technologies to bridge the urban-rural divide, an IGNOU spokesperson said.
''It shall deliberate on the effective use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for rural knowledge connectivity and capacity building programmes. It shall also identify other cost effective communication technologies best suited for delivery of distance education,''the spokesperson added.
