24,000 litre kerosene gutted
Bilaspur, CG, Oct 26 (UNI) More than 24,000 litre kerosene oil was today gutted when two tankers standing in a godown caught fire at civil lines police area in this district, police said.
The fire broke out at about 1100 hours today. Fire brigade personnel were trying to control fire.
Police and administrative officials reached the spot.
According to preliminary information, kerosene in tankers was meant for public distribution system. The reasons behind the fire was yet not known but it was suspected to be short circuit.
The godown -- belonging to a private dealer -- was safe. Further details were awaited.
