Ten new medical colleges in Bihar soon: Nitish
Patna, Oct 25 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced that the state government would soon open 10 new medical colleges in the state.
Addressing a function after unveiling a statue of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at the premises of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences here, Mr Kumar said the six medical colleges would be opened by the state government, while four others would be opened with assistance from the private sectors.
After the opening of new medical colleges, the students from Bihar would not require to migrate to other states for higher studies, Mr Kumar said adding a team of Medical Council of India would be visitng the state in this regard.
The Chief Minister said the state government was trying its best to force the Maharashtra government to ensure the safety and security of people of Bihar in that state.
