Slogan shouting at Congress HQ by ticket seekers

Jaipur, Oct 25 (UNI) Intermittent slogan shouting was witnessed at the Congress state headquarters here today by the supporters of party ticket seekers, who were thronging in continuously to stake their claims, for the upcoming Assembly polls in Rajasthan At least four groups of party workers reached the party headquarters from different constituencies, to press for tickets for the aspirants of their choice.

A delegation of party workers from Niwai(SC) constituency in Tonk district was demanding tickets for former Deputy Chief Minister Banwari Lal Bairwa and opposing Dwarka Bairwa.

Another group of party workers from Malpura in the same district was raising slogans against party Vice President and former minister Chandrabhan to protest against the allotment of a party ticket to him at the cost of Tonk Zila Pramukh Ramvilas Chaudhary.

A group of youths from Adarshnagar here were upset over the possibility of ticket being given to to sitting MLA Mahir Azad and they were pleading that the ticket be given to local corporator Baba Riyazuddin.

Mr Azad, who represents Nagar in Bharatpur, was seeking change of constituency this time against the wishes of local party workers.

The Leader of the Opposition in Jaipur Municipal Corporation, Ghulam Nabi's supporters were pressing for his candidature from Kishanpol constituency in Jaipur and were annoyed over the reports of allotment of ticket to former minister Ashq Ali Tak.
