SC allows Taj viewing at night for tourists
New Delhi, Oct 25 (UNI) Giving a Diwali gift to tourists visiting Taj Mahal at Agra, the Supreme Court has allowed them to enjoy the beauty of the monument to love at night after 20 long years.
A bench comprising Justices S B Sinha, S H Kapadia and D K Jain yesterday permitted the district administration to open the Taj Mahal for four nights in a month for visitors.
For the last 20 years, tourists, including foreigners, were denied the pleasure of enjoying the beauty of one of the seven wonders of the world in full moon night.
The Taj looks most beautiful on full moon night. As per the order, 400 holiday-makers will be allowed in a night at the mausoleum.
