Lankan fishermen fined for entering in Indian waters

Visakhapatnam Oct 25(UNI) The District Chief Metropolitan Magistrate K Chinandana today ordered all the Sri Lankan fishermen, who entered the Indian waters, including 12 trawlers on October nine, to pay a fine of Rs 10,000.

Police said the Lankan fishermen were handed over to the police by the Coastal Guard authorities.

The Lankan fishermen had entered the Indian waters to catch fish for exporting to foreign countries, police added.
