Dattatreya stages dharna against KSEZ

Kakinada, Oct 25 (UNI) Bharatia Janata Party (BJP) Andhra Pradesh unit President Bandaru Dattatreya, along with other state and district party leaders, today staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here in support of the farmers, who were affected by the Kakinada Special Economic Zone (KSEZ).

BJP Andhra Pradesh unit Vice-Presidents Somu Veerraju and Mallareddy,Executive member Yenimireddi Malakondaiah, district President K Sarvarayudu and Vice-President Pithani Nookaraju also took part in the dharna.

Earlier, Mr Dattatreya visited Moolapadu, Ramanakkapet, Srirampuram and other KSEZ affected villages in U Kothapalli and Thondangi mandals.

He assured the farmers that the BJP would support their cause and strive for scrapping the Government Order on KSEZ.

He alleged that the government had acquired vast extent of fertile lands for the KSEZ by violating the guidelines to benefit the realtors.
