AIADMK MLAs, VCK volunteers released
Puducherry, Oct 24 (UNI) Puducherry Second Judicial Magistrate Farook Mohammed tonight released all the AIADMK and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) volunteers arrested on charges of burning the effigy of DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and VCK Leader Thol Thirumavalavan on bail.
Six VCK and seven AIADMK volunteers, including two legislators, were booked under non-bailable sections.However, the court which heard the arguement released them on bail.
Earlier, tension prevailed infront of the court and a large number of AIADMK and VCK volunteers gathered in front of the court and shouted slogans demanding the immediate release of their leaders and heavy police pickets were posted to prevent any untoward incidents.
