15 kg heroin seized in Punjab

Amritsar, Oct 25 (UNI) Amritsar (rural) police today recovered 15 kg of heroin concealed in 15 packets hidden under the earth near the Rania village in the district.

The contraband was recovered following the interrogation of one Mahavir, who was arrested by the Ajnala police on October 12 in connection with another case of looting.

Mahavir alias Tota Singh hails from Havelian village in the district and had been caught earlier also, on charges of drug trafficking Police said the heroin was part of a 32 kg consignment of which 17 kg was recovered earlier.
