Madhya Pradesh: Rs 1.23 cr seized in IT search

Bhopal, Oct 24: The Income-Tax department has seized more than Rs 1.23 crore from five bank lockers of one person and launched a manhunt in his search.

IT department sources said five bank lockers of Usman had been searched on the basis of some information. A few documents were also seized.

Usman's local address was found to be wrong following which search started.

Sources said there was no connection of the search with yesterday's raid in July.

IT department's Director General (Investigation) S S Rana said it was necessary to gather information Usman.
