Punjab Health authorities seize adulterated 'khoya'
Ludhiana, Oct 24 (UNI) Stepping up their campaign against adulteration during the Diwali season, the Punjab Health authorities seized four quintals 'khoya' outside the railway station here.
Confirming the seizure, Civil Surgeon Pawan Kumar Sharma said the 'khoya' was transported to the city on a train from either Sharanpur or Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. It was being taken out of the railway station for distribution in the city when it was seized by a health department team yesterday.
The 'khoya' has been sent to a laboratory for further analysis.
The Civil Surgeon was silent on the people arrested in this connection and maintained that further details would be given later.
