Police burst illegal liquor manufacturing unit

Puducherry, Oct 24 (UNI) Puducherry excise police today burst an illegal liquor manufacturing unit at Ottanpalayam near Mudaliar pet.

According to excise sources, on a tip-off, an excise team, led by Deputy Collector Anbazhagan, raided the premises.

They seized 80 boxes, each containing 48 quarter bottles of old monk and old cask rum and Mac Dowel brandy, machineries, labels and empty bottles worth Rs three lakh.

Four occupants of the premises escaped.

A case has been registered and police are searching for nab those, who had escaped.
