Paulose Mor Koorilose declared Saint

Kottayam, Oct 24 (UNI) Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I, Patriarch of Antioch, today declared Paulose Mor Koorilose of the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church as saint at a solemn ceremony held at the St Mary's Jacobite Syrian Church at Panampady here.

The Patriarch of Antioch was on his fourth apostolic visit to Malankara.

Catholicos Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas I, Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy, Mr Suresh Kurup, MP and other prominent persons participated.

Earlier a warm reception was accorded to the Patriarch of Antioch when he reached here for the ceremony.
