NPP, BSP announce candidates for J

Jammu, Oct 24 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today announced list of candidates from different constituencies for the forthcoming Assembly elections scheduled to be held in seven phases from November 17 to December 24.

The JKNPP has announced candidates for Poonch-Haveli and Mendhar constituencies in Poonch district, while the BSP disclosed the names of two contenders from tehsil Bishnah and Ramban districts.

''Panthers Party has given mandate to Tabassum Choudhary from Poonch-Haveli constituency, while Jameel Ahmed and Mohammad Tariq Khan will be the party candidates from Surankote and Mendhar constituencies respectively,'' sources told UNI.

The list for candidates for Leh, Kargil and Bandipore will however be released tomorrow.

The BSP has meanwhile, announced the name of Bhagat Ganga Dutt as a candidate from Bishnah constituency while Amit Langeh will be the party candidate from Ramban (reserved) constituency, sources added.
