MP sets target to sow Rabi crops in 89.15 lakh hectare
Bhopal, Oct 24 (UNI) Madhya Padesh Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Department has set a target to sow Rabi crops in 89.15 lakh hectare land, official sources said today.
At present, sowing process has been completed in 6.57 lakh hectare land. The normal land area for sowing of Rabi crop is 86.28 lakh hectare, while 76.82 lakh hectare land was sowed last year.
In this Rabi season, wheat has been sowed in 7,000 hectare, gram in 1.90 lakh hectare, other pulses in 12,000 hectare, rai in 3.39 lakh hectare and mustard in 32,000 hectare, official sources added.
