Bomb hoax near CM's Guru Gaddi welcome venue

Karnal, Oct 24 (UNI) A bomb hoax created a scare at a hospital near the venue where Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda received the Guru Gaddi here today.

The electrician of the hospital raised an alarm after he found a bomb-like object with a watch fitted on it and threw it in the adjoining plot.

The hoax kept the newspersons from print and electronic media at their toes for more than an hour.

However, the anti-bomb squad which reached the spot along with sniffer dogs from Madhuban Police Academy, found that the ''bomb'' was in fact just some stones wrapped in a red cover.
