Wall writings for poll campaign require owner permission
Kolkata, Oct 23 (UNI) In a major poll related reform, the Election Commission has put all government buildings out of bound for political parties for writing graffiti on walls.
Instructions to this effect would come when elections are announced. This was decided after a high-power meeting here yesterday, state chief electoral officer Debashis Sen said.
It was decided while government buildings were out of bounds, political parties will have to take written permission from owners of private houses for writing on their walls, a report published today said.
The EC recently directed the state body to interact with various state agencies and issue necessary instructons regarding the latest poll related reform.
Even while using private walls with the permission of buidling owners, the CEO said adhesive would have to be used as these were "easily removable".
