Third Front will emerge as a ''decisive political force'': Mir
Jammu, Oct 23 (UNI) Former Tourism Minister and the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Party (JKDP) president, Ghulam Hassan Mir today said 'third front' will emerge as ''decisive political force'' in the coming Assembly elections, scheduled from November 17 to December 24 in the state.
''My hunt for forming the 'third front' is still on and it is going to play a major role in constituting the next government in Jammu and Kashmir and new faces will be introduced to the state politics,'' Mr Mir told UNI here.
Mr Mir however, asserted that the continued 'political opportunism and myopic vision' has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to loose the face and it would give hard times to them in the coming polls.
Meanwhile, the JKDP president further said his party would not only field candidates in Kashmir constituencies alone but also in the Jammu region.
''Two committees have been framed in each region and they will be finalising the list of candidates for the party to be fielded in the elections,'' Mr Mir said.
Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Party (JKDP) was constituted by the former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir on May 7, 2008 with a sole aim to strive for socio-economic development of the state after he was expelled by the Mehbooba Mufti led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
