Salem: Civil corporation to send you SMS

Salem, Oct 23: Salem Corporation goes hi-fi! The status of the application of birth or death certificate will be easy for you to track with SMS. You will get alerts on the status by Civil Corporation as and when it passes from table-to-table.

This new mobile information delivery system is likely to come into effect in the city from this November. “In certain cases, it takes more than a month for the civic body to issue the certificates and the applicamts are made to run from pillar to post to know the status of their request," say people in the locality.
