Queen turns down Slovenian horse gift for 'humane' reasons
London, October 23 : The Queen, who was presented with a white Slovenian Lipizzaner stallion, decided not to take the gifted horse home for 'humane' reasons.
Her Majesty, who was presented with the horse during a visit to a stud farm in Slovenia, said it would be 'more humane' not to uproot the 16-year-old Kanizo from its native place.
Though the Queen developed an immediate liking to the magnificent horse yet she decided not to displace the animal.
"The Queen took to Kanizo immediately," the Sun quoted manager Matjaz Pust as saying.
The monarch and Prince Philip had visited the world-renowned Lipica centre that took care of 400 Lipizzaners from its total world population of 9,000.
