Koirala to begin Nepali Congress 'revival campaign' from Saturday
Kathmandu, Oct 23 : The Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala has arrived in his hometown Biratnagar today for a 'party-revival campaign' that begins from Saturday.
The Nepali Congress announced the nationwide campaign to regain its base among voters after the defeat in the Constituent Assembly election held early this year.
The party further expects to harmonise the relation between the two factions in the party who came together before the elections.
The leaders have admitted that the party could not be united at the lower level even as the Nepali Congress and the Nepali Congress (Democratic) reached the unification deal.
Meanwhile, a 501-member program organizing committee has been formed under the convenorship of Morang NC President Amrit Aryal to carry out door-to-door campaign to make the program a success, Nepalnews reported.
