"I have been targeted," says Speaker
New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, expressing anguish at the frequent disruptions in the House, said he felt he had been unfairly targeted and that "this is the worst period of my life." As soon as the Lok Sabha assembled for transacting the day's business, Mr Chatterjee told the members that for the past four days the house could not take up the Question Hour.
He said there is strong need for every member for an interrospection of their actions within the House.
"I have been targeted but I don't mind them. I am not an aspirant for any thing. I am on my way out and I am going out with pain and agony after spending 40 years in Parliament. This is the worst period of my life," he added.
