ECI team to tour Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Oct 23 (UNI) Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswamy, ECs Naveen B Chawla and S Qureshi will reach here tomorrow from Bhopal to mainly review preparations for the Chhattisgarh assembly polls scheduled next month.

Official sources told UNI today that the Election Commission of India team would have separate meetings with senior administrative and police officers including district collectors and police superintendents. The commissioners would specially discuss methods for peaceful and impartial polling in naxalism-affected areas.

Meetings with political parties' delegations are also on the team's agenda.

After meetings that would stretch into the night, the commissioners would return to Delhi by the regular flight on Saturday morning.
