Arunachal: Implement pay commission rules
Itanagar, Oct 23: The Confederation of Service Association of Arunachal Pradesh(CoSAAP) has demanded immediate implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission's recommendation in the state and sought the governor's intervention in this regard. In a representation to the governor the CoSAAP lamented that the state government, despite repeated appeals, failed to implement the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules 2008.
''We apprised the state government of our demands on early implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission bereft of avoidable recommendations that include abolition of Grade-IV employees, merger of pension with provident fund besides contractual and outsourcing appointments,'' the federation said.
The CoSAAP further claimed that the state government had not initiated any measures for early implementation of the necessary recommendations despite submitting a number of representations. Among others, the demands made by the federation include fixation of retirement age at 60, provision of transport and house rent allowances and implementation of the modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (ACPS) of ten, twenty and thirty years.
