Chennai: Red Cross launches blood donation camp

Chennai, Oct 23: Indian Red Cross Society launches campaign on the importance of blood donation.

“Blood donation is important and not related to caste, race and religion, because the donors do not know with whom their blood will end up, and the receivers do not know whose blood they receive," Red Cross Society Tamil Nadu president Vimala Ramalingam said. The theme of this month"s campaign is to stimulate donors to return regularly. “Men can give one blood unit of 350 millilitre every three months and women every four months," she said.
