No agreement to integrate Maoist army into Nepal Army: Sitaula
Kathmandu, Oct 23 : Former Nepal Home Minister Krishna Sitaula has said that there has been no agreement to integrate the Maoist army into Nepali Army (NA).
Speaking at an interaction here on Wednesday, Sitaula claimed that the peace accord does not clearly mention that the Maoist combatants will be integrated into Nepali Army
"There is no agreement that says that the guerrillas will be integrated into Nepali Army," he said.
"There were only verbal understandings that the Maoist combatants will be integrated into 'security organs', he added.
He advised the Maoists to drop the idea of integrating their combatants into the Nepali Army and seek alternatives, Nepalnews reported.
