4 held with counterfeit currency notes
Damoh, MP, Oct 23 (UNI) Four people, including a woman, were arrested with counterfeit currency notes worth about Rs 2.56 lakh in Garhi locality here, police said today.
Superintendent of Police R S Saket said that a house was raided and main accused Imtiaz Khan and his wife Rabia Khan with Umashankar and Raju Razzak, who used to distribute the fake notes in the market, were apprehended yesterday.
A total of 92 counterfeit currency notes of Rs 500 denominations, 2,130 notes of Rs 50 and 54 notes of Rs 20 were seized from them.
A manhunt has been launched to nab another accused Jabalpur-resident Mohammad Shafiq, police added.
