Several trains cancelled, diversified or short terminated

Kolkata, Oct 22 (UNI) Train services both in South Eastern Railway and Eastern Railway were badly affected today following violent agitation in Bihar forcing cancellation, diversion or short terminated many trains.

Following trains were cancelled for the day :- 2817 Hatia-Delhi Jharkhand Swarnajayanti Exp, Tata/Hatia-Muri Jammu Tawai Link Exp, 2439 Ranchi-New Delhi Rajdhani Exp, 5027 Hatia-Gorokhpur Maurya Exp, 8624 Hatia-Rajendranagar Exp, and the 8611 Ranchi-Varanasi Exp.

The different trains diverted were:- The 2801 Purushattam express was diverted from Bokaro Steel City via Purulia-Chandil-Chakradhapur-Jharsuguda-Bilaspur-Katni, the 2421 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Exp will be diverted via Adra-Purulia-Kotshila-Muri-Barkakhana from Kharagpur, the 2815 Puri-New Delhi Superfast exp will be diverted via Adra-Purulia-Kotshila-Muri-Barkakhana from Kharagpur.

The 8609 Ranchi-LTT Exp will be diverted via Muri-Barkakhana.

Many Eastern Railway trains were also cancelled.
