Rahul to visit Kanpur on Oct 24

Kanpur, Oct 22 (UNI) Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi would be on a day-long visit to this Industrial city on October 24.

During his visit, Mr Gandhi would interact with the students of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Science, Central leather research institute and a private school, besides holding a public meeting with Dalits and minorities at Motijheel, Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal said while talking to mediapersons here today.

His interaction with the students of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) had, however, been cancelled, he added.

Mr Jaiswal said the Congress was concerned about the low agricultural production and low export of the leather goods in comparison with other parts of the state.
