Punjab Police arrests youth in dowry case in Jammu
Jammu, Oct 22 (UNI) The sleuths of the Punjab Police today conducted a surprise raid here and arrested a youth, against whom warrants were out in Chandigarh in connection with a dowry case.
''A police team from Punjab raided Channi area on the city outskirts and arrested a youth identified as Vikram Khurana for allegedly harassing his wife and demanding dowry,'' sources told UNI.
The warrants were issued under section 498 of the Indian Penal Code.
The girl whom Khurana married was from Mohali. He was here in the town when Punjab Police raided the house and nabbed him.
